What Is A Calabash? 

It is a cylindrical shaped gourd that is grown in tropical climates. They are picked green then placed in the sun to dry. Craftsmen in Jamaica find creative uses to carve the calabash into, such as bowls, cups and utensils.

The Name Calabash Cove?

Visually the calabash is very simplistic in shape but as basic as it may appear to be, it can be used to make fundamental items in the kitchen. Similarly, at Calabash Cove, we believe in the use of simple ingredients to build a plethora of complex flavours that honour the culture and cuisine of the Caribbean. We masterfully fuse island cuisine with those from around the world to create numerous tasty dishes.
